PINKELEPHANT

Summer is lovely, especially that I get to be home for some of it. Catching up with family and friends, going for my favorite cool morning runs, swimming at Lake Tahoe, reading the books I started in NY, etc. I have to savor it while it lasts, as I'll be back in the city in just a short time to get ready for fashion week. Though I'm loving spending time here, I'm really starting to miss everyone out East and can't wait to spend the rest of summer back there!

I'm off to get some rest before I get up bright and early. I hope you're all enjoying your summers, too!

W A Y N E

Wayne Lee and her amazingly beautiful and inspiring creations have such a super-duper spot in my heart. Having the chance to work with her on this lookbook was such a total pleasure and I would do just about anything for the entire collection to line my wardrobe. You're the bestest Miss Wayne!

You can check out the entire Fall 2009 collection, along with her other work and accessories here!

By the way, big thank you for all of the wonderful birthday wishes everyone. You've definitely made it a perfect birthday! Also, thanks to my darling K.W. for pointing out to me that the new video for Cobra Starship's "Good Girls Go Bad" is out, where you'll find muah for about three whole seconds. Stills and video link are here, on my Tumblr. It's definitely good for a laugh.

Dirty Diana

Last night after spending the day running around with my parents, my best friend and I celebrated my 23rd birthday a couple days early. After dinner (and my awesome assortment of gifts), we stopped off at a couple different places that claim to be the 'nightlife' of Reno.

Then, after a bit of tribute dancing to Michael Jackson, random run-ins and a few good laughs, we decided it was time to get home. I feel as if this age is just about the most uneventful of all birthdays, though I am very glad I was able to be home for it.

I'll definitely be making up for not being in NY when I get back next month with a little belated birthday action - who says birthdays can't last a month?

I wore: Topshop jacket, H&M top and skirt, Guess boots.

Keeping busy this weekend back in Reno. Started with a bit of shopping at the new Sak's Off Fifth store that just opened up, got myself a new pair of obnoxiously square Chloé sunglasses. Moved on to a foul attempt made by my best friend and I to make vegan sushi for dinner, then out the door to visit a friend downtown. Not sure what's on the father's day agenda yet, but I'm assuming it will probably involve my mother making a decision for him. Gotta love my dad and his indecisiveness about EVERYTHING. Either way, it should be a good time.

Making the most of the last couple weeks before I make my next move, hopefully should know more by the time my birthday comes around on the 29th of this month! Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

PS: The wonderful Lucrecia of Fashion Is Poison has posted a fun 'Selby-esque' interview with me. You can check it out here!

Back and Fourth

First off, gigantic apologies for having fallen off the face of the planet. Since my last post, I have been back visiting family in Nevada for a couple weeks until my next big adventure. So, being in between New York, Reno and then back to my hometown, it's been very tough to have a minute to just sit still!

Anywho, things are going well and I can't believe June is already here. I'm really excited to see my newest work with the amazing Chris Benz for his Resort 2010 lookbook! You can see it, (along with the one for fall 2009) here and also here. The above photo is one of the very few photos I've been able to track down from the Life Ball runway show, so hopefully there will be more soon. Now, I'm off to hang with my parents for a few days! Have a great week everyone!

Snow Angel from Kristiina Wilson on Vimeo.

This superb piece was done thanks to the amazing photographer/director Kristiina Wilson, styling by Angella N., hair by Reginald Drummer and makeup by Joy Fennell. As always, I had an amazing time on set with these guys and cannot wait to do another editorial/fashion film in the near future!

Been spending my week in and out of castings (per-usual), working on Chris Benz's Resort 2010 lookbook (yay!) and getting ready for a big exciting upcoming casting (another yay!) on Monday. Pretty please cross your fingers and toes for me!

I hope you're all having a great weekend!

Viennan Holiday/Getaway

Talk about a short weekend! Our trip to the 17th annual LifeBall was absolutely insane and so much fun. As busy and rushed as it was (Thursday evening, back to NY on Sunday evening), I had an incredible time. Having the chance to meet so many amazing people, see amazing costumes, dance like a crazy person and participate in The Blonds runway show - all something I'll never ever forget. I still haven't seen any footage of the show yet, but hopefully it will turn up online soon.

This week has been very busy, full with castings, a shoot with Kristiina today and mustering my way through it all with a nasty head cold (thanks, air travel!). I hope you all are enjoying your weekend and for us here in the states - Happy Memorial Day! Maybe I'll see some of you out-and-about in the city!
